Track workouts

I completed my first track workout last night.  I swear that the track was smaller when I was in high school.  No wait, I just got slower, that's right.  The workout was fun but difficult.  Will it going to make me an elite athlete? I doubt it.  Will it make me a little faster than my slow butt currently is?  Hopefully.  Will it help build lean muscle and tone up my flabbiness?  One can dream.
